Upper Tengis river
6 Nights / 7 Days | 3 Nights Upper Tengis Wilderness Camp + 3 Nights Base Camp
Venture deep into the wild headwaters of the Tengis River, one of Mongolia’s most pristine and legendary Taimen, Lenok and Grayling fisheries. This exclusive fishing expedition combines remote wilderness camping with the comfort and hospitality of Taimen Lodge’s riverside base camp, offering the ultimate balance of adventure and relaxation.
Your journey begins with a scenic ride with jet boat to the upper Tengis , where crystal clear waters flow through untouched valleys surrounded by larch forest and mountain ridges. For the first three nights, you’ll stay in a comfortable tented wilderness camp, fully supported by our expedition team. Each day brings new stretches of water filled with trophy taimen, wild lenok trout, and arctic grayling, all eager to take everything you cast.
After exploring the remote upper reaches, the final three nights are spent at our main base camp, where hot showers, sauna, hearty meals, and a riverside fire await. From here, guests continue to fish productive home pools and nearby stretches of the Tengis, guided by our experienced team who know every bend, seam, and eddy of this river.
